The Howard D. Mettelman Learning Center was the place to be as awards were presented for the Summer Regional Program for Excellence. The RPE program, part of OHM BOCES School to Career Programs, provides students with more than 72 hours of internship experience in career fields of interest. This summer, 33 students from local school districts participated.
The RPE Ceremony celebrated student achievements and offered a chance to showcase their learning. Participants highlighted experiences from a wide range of internships, including healthcare, veterinary medicine, media and communications, emergency services, aerospace and education. Throughout the event, students reflected on how these hands-on opportunities expanded their knowledge and helped them make more informed decisions about their future paths.
