Jr. Raiders at Kernan Elementary have been busy bees!
As part of Kernan's Summer Extended Learning Time, students got hands on with nature thanks to a special visit with Taylor from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County!
Jr. Raiders learned all about pollination and the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystem.
Took part in pollination relay races (yes, learning can totally be a game!).
Planted their very own flower seeds to take home.
And got a sweet treat with a taste of local honey sticks made by bees in our own backyards!
Thank you, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County, for helping our students continue to grow their knowledge and their gardens!
