MLK Spirit Week Combines Learning and Smiles

Holiday Spirit Week before vacation brought lots of joy and cheer to the building! MLK students
wore pajamas to school and stayed comfy and cozy while learning. In the evening during ELA
night students and their families engaged in a scavenger hunt to find the missing MLK Elf!
Participants were required to solve ELA and math puzzles in order to "find the elf," mixing
problem solving and fun together. After students completed the scavenger hunt they received a
bag of goodies and were able to go to the cafeteria to decorate their own sugar cookies!
Modeling a love of reading, the evening also included a read aloud of "There's No Such Thing As
Elves."

for our students and their families!
